So I'm doing my best to not actively seek information on the game that stems from alpha leaks, but the rate at which articles are posted on the FFXIV boards that may or may not be leaks combined with information coming in from sources that are known to be "legitimate", it's getting pretty hard to sort out what I understand about the game based on legit information that everyone "should" have access to and what I've learned about the game based on leaked alpha info, and since I've nary seen an FFXIV CM posting or even showing up in the recent visitors list for the last several days, I'm asking here.
If a person is in the alpha/beta test, they're not suppose to divulge any information. We're not supposed to post leaked information anywhere on ZAM that stems from leaked sources. So based on past experiences with SE or other devs for games under NDA, what happens if the boards evolve to the point where leaked information is the basis for discussion? I honestly can't tell things apart anymore. "Did I learn this from a Famitsu article or was this something I saw in a screenshot from an illegitimate article that was linked here?"
Personally, I don't care. If I've read it somewhere at this point, I reckon it's fair game to discuss because there's just too much information to sort out but if I get a PM shaking the naughty finger at me for discussing leaked information, imma be a sad panda.
