Assorted Journal Feature RequestsFollow

#1 Mar 27 2010 at 11:22 PM Rating: Good
1) Allow journal owners to "unbump" threads in a fashion similar to how necroposted threads in regular forums can be. (If this is already possible, make it somewhat more obvious.) [from me]

2) Separate the "Protected" setting into whitelist and blacklist modes. [from Kirby, over Skype, because he's too lazy to make his own thread about it and insists that a thread that was originally going to only make the first request should have this one as "related" even though necroposting and spamming have little or no connection]

This.

I want to be able to block who I want from viewing/posting in my journal, but not have to resort to Protected journals, and block a bunch of people I'm too lazy to add to my Contacts or Allowed list.

See my sig.

I was thinking about this today. I don't really have anything in my journal that I care if people see, but if someone ever got some sort of harrassment in their journal (I'm reminded of the guy who had his journal rated down) it'd be cool to be able to block them from access.

Would blocking access to your journal by anyone on your ignore list be an acceptable solution, or do you really want it as a separate list?

The Ignore list would be fine.
