The reply link from live view always points to &page=1, regardless of what page the post is on.

When i mouseover PaladinStargazer's name, i get a link to his journal, despite him not having premium. Not sure if it happens for anyone else, but i'll watch for it.

Everyone's does that. Leads to a page that says, "Journal does not exist."

That didn't happen until recently.
It linked your journal if you had it set to Public, and had premium membership, but otherwise: no.

Not that it really matters or anything.

Not for me it doesn't. He's the only one i've found so far that does. There is no link to it for everyone else that doesn't have a journal (or if it's set to private).

It's probably like that for anyone who had their journal open and enabled at some point.
Like Ralrra and Spoonless.

Thank you again to all who helped, and congratulations to Spoonless, who won the 3 month premium voucher! Yay!

Kao, if you get a chance, ticket this one. Add that replying most places doesn't actually redirect you to the last post, as I think it should do that (reason being, IIRC, is it doesn't check pages and such before the redirect, but there's a better way now.)

Done!

Forums page on FFXI skin is having a weird issue where certain forums aren't colored every other line. It's hard to look at. I noticed it with Aion, DAoC, Eve, EQ, EQII, EQOA... And then everything in between FFXI and WOW. http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html

Yeah, that looks weird, because it looks like this on the Zam news, and FFXIV skins:
Screenshot

The header for each section of forums is darker than the background, unlike the FFXI skin.

Aha! They should fix it on the FFXI skin, it's really awkward looking. Smiley: lol

I have a problem where I can't disable Daylight Savings Time in the forums, because I live in an area where we do not use Daylught Savings Time, so forum times all appear incorrectly, one hour more than they really are.

Here is a link to the post I made about this.

Anyway this can be fixed?

Thank you.

One of the banner ads you are running right now is breaking javascript on firefox 2.0.0.12. As in can't load any page on the site, and locks up firefox to the point of having to kill the process. Turning off javascript avoids the problem, but then you can't hit the "post message" button (gah!).

Please don't make me have to post in IE! Hurry Kao! You're my only hope!...

We can't do anything if you don't tell us the specifics about the ad. See the sticky about reporting bad ads :)

They're not "bad ads" in the sense that they violate some terms. The're bad in that they lock up firefox 2.0.0.12 running on any of a variety of *nix systems. I can't post a screenshot becuase my browser can't load the ads. I'm not even sure if it's the actual ad content (since the bar says "loading data from X" where "X" varies), or if there's something in your banner script that is broken.

For about the last 3 hours every single time I try to load the main alla page, firefox locks up and I have to kill it. It's not cookies or cache. I just checked using a different user profile that has never loaded alla before. It's entirely possible it has nothing to do with ads at all, it just always seems to be some kind of data load that stops the page from loading. I just tried it again, and nothing loads except the links on the left, and it's sitting at "transferring data from pubads.g.doubledclick.net". The time before it got stuck on a different load message.

Did you guys kick a hamster or something?

Table styling on forum list and thread list pages has been changed so that all sites have proper styling on them.

Threads can be created with titles that don't display at all. This technically falls into a larger category of bugs, issues, and the like that can be exploited by judicious usage of Unicode, most of which aren't terribly relevant and have skipped my mind.

EDIT: Simplest fix that doesn't require filtering out non-printing characters (which is understandably going to slow things down) would be to just make the icon next to the thread (you know, the one that indicates "hot" threads) jump to the first post in the thread as well. I was actually kind of surprised that it didn't.

SECOND EDIT: It also causes the line that would normally read "Allakhazam's Forums > (forum group) > (forum name) > (thread name)", with the first three having links, to not only not have a link to the thread (which is normal), but it doesn't even have a link to the forum anymore (which is not).

COMMENT ON THE SECOND EDIT: Editing posts drops the forum group and forum name from that line while you're editing the post, which I don't believe is intended either, and at any rate is also annoying.

Perhaps, but I found one other problem that it exposed, and there's a second issue that's sort of related to that other problem that was also annoying me.
