The only PvP forum around right now is the one "hidden" in Theophany's Journal.
Personally, I think that a PvP forum on allakhazam would be a good idea, as there are so many people who PvP in one way or another, be it through just the occasional BG or world PvP or hardcore arena's and 2k+ ratings.
And right now, there's not really a place for them to go on allakhazam to ask for help or discuss changes.

And I would also like to see an UI forum.
As I'm assuming you are aware of, nearly every person who plays WoW has altered their UI in some way or another.
Whenever it comes up, people are happy to post a screenshot of their UI and talk about it, so I think there's at least a fair number of people interested in UI's on allakhazam.
And there's the people like me and Horsemouth who just like discussing UI's a lot ^^

I'm signing up with both my hands on this.

UI forum is what I really miss here on Alla. I do enjoy tweaking my own UI very much and I do experiment a lot, but some things I simply do not know how to do. Having whole forum about it would be great place to learn and get inspired, since UI threads tend to die quickly on General. Same with PvP. It's just so massive part of game ( for some the biggest there is) that I find it really odd that it doesn't have it's own Forum. I'd like to ask some qustions there, even though I don't do PvP, only to get bashed on head and be called noob by likes of Aethien and Theo. Maybe it would even do me some good, who knows. I like to learn hard way.

I'm actually not that great at PvP. :P

Theophany, Myteddy, Yuppley and probably a lot more people on here are a lot better at PvP than I am.

I probably wouldn't use either (unless I wanted to show off screenshots of me, dead in WSG using the default UI), but more forums to lurk in would be fun. :D

Pssst, spec BM for PvP.
Then you'll probably still be lying dead on the floor, but there will be pieces of gnome spread out all around you too ;)

Since I downloaded Lore's UI from Tankspot, I've gotten into tweaking the UIs for each of my characters and would love a UI forum to see what others are doing, pick up on titbits of "best practice" and whatnot.

I want a UI forum. Then I can link UI shots, like this. Then people can tell me what I can fix to make it better. I can help others as well.

I can also ask questions, like why my Powerauras red aura thing stopped working when I get Overpower procs on my baby warrior.

A PvP form would be nice as well.

A PvP forum would allow me to turn my journal into a UI discussion, as that's been one of the things I've been most known for (on the oboards, EJ, and here).

Proof that a PvP forum would work is in my journal; even without any real promotion (4-5 regular posters having it in their sig isn't real promotion, TBH) there's quite a bit of discussion.

Honestly, any of those posts should be fine in the general forum. I see your arguement, I am just sayin'.

But say, questions about professions can fit in the general forums as well.
And the UI and PvP threads tend to drown relatively quickly in all the OT posts in the general.

There's also the fact that if you want to discuss PvP, you have to go to either the EJ discussion (which is fairly useless and inactive, for hunters at least) ArenaJunkies or the O-boards.

Pretty much what Aethien said.

Also if there was a site based PvP or UI forum Theo is volunteering his current PvP forum to be the other one.

Realistically making a PvP section would be the most logical. As it would have a bigger draw and UI fanatics are fewer in number than PvP junkies. So Theo's Journal would be a nice spot to place that if a UI only forum was deemed too low of a priority.

Both are relevant aspects of WoW and deserve a place for discussion.

And Darq I've seen your UI before. The space you use for Healbot is way too large. You should scale it down.

To be completely frank, 95% of the people that browse =21 on a regular basis have less than zero clue about how to succeed in PvP. I say 5% because the people that do are the posters you see with a link to my PvP forum in their sig.

The difference between something that's run by me in my journal and something that's an official forum would be night and day; you can't honestly tell me that people see the link and are like, "oooh, PvP! I've wanted to get better, maybe I could ask for some suggestions!" and then when they see that it's moderated and run by me, they instantly think, "oh God, Theo runs it? No thanks, I hate that guy."

It's not like it really takes any more effort on the part of the forum admins to add one more forum (when there are already a ton for each game).

So a PvP forum is less valuable than the tradeskills forum?

We have one them but no PvP?

I think PvP is a bigger part of the game tbh.

Exactly, those types of posts would be fine there, and I'd get to moderate you much more often! Smiley: sly

As for a completely new forum, I will ask, but don't get your hopes up! I could be bribed to try harder, however... lol

When I am at work I have to go: Zam.com>WoW>Class>Rogue>Theo

YOU COULD CUT SO MUCH INTERNET USE OUT OF MY WORKPLACE IF YOU MADE A FORUM IN BETWEEN WoW AND CLASS
