Report Post FunctionFollow
The Report function should take the reported post out until approved, similar to the Report Image function. This way, when someone reports those threads with suspect links, it would take the thread out of circulation until the user can be banned. Obviously abuse of this function would have to be dealt with, but overall I think that the forums would benefit from having it remove posts until approval. Since there's a dialog box for you to input your reason for reporting, I find it hard to believe there would be a ton of accidental reports.
We've already had some reports that have occured where in my oppinion the post should not have been reported. The people doing the reporting legitimatly believed they should be reported, but basically people occasionally are reporting things where they get into a flame war with someone, are losing, then decide to report the post to make it go away.
As is, the system sends a broadcast to all admins whenever a post is reported, so they get handled pretty quickly as we usually have someone online somewhere on the site, at least during normal hours.

We can't make everyone happy unfortunately. Some people think they should be invis until ok'd by an admin (me) others think they should not (see post further down the page). Ditto with images.
And as Kao says, it sends a pop up bar to EVERY admin, they get handled rather quickly. Prob wouldn't hurt to add that pop up bar to reported images so people don't have to wait... hrmm.
