IE6 Browser IssuesFollow

#1 May 14 2009 at 6:08 AM Rating: Decent
Using the site with Internet Explorer 6 yields some wild results. I also have Google Chrome installed and can use this site just fine with that though.

With IE6, the text in forums here, seems invisible. I can only see it if I drag over the selected area (as if to copy), highlighting it all. Seems like IE6 is making all texts on message boards show up as the same color as the background.

Additionally I notice the site is much slower on IE6.

Sorry if this is a re-post of a known issue, just wanted to leave some feedback. =)

So, um, you do know that IE is up to number 8 now right? It's also a free.

This isn't an option for everyone. One of my work comps has no harddrive or USB access and when I'm forced to use it, I'm stuck there.

Nizdaar, I don't know what skin the OP uses, but IE6 definitely doesn't like either version of the WoW skin. I also think it has problems with the News skin, but that was a long time back.

We try the best we can to support IE6. Right now we're hovering around the 6% mark for pageviews that come from IE6.

The site slowness is likely due in part to some specialized code that needs to be run when an IE6 browser is detected. If you have javascript off it will not run at all which breaks the sites even more.
