Think I picked up a karma camper...Follow

Seems like every post I make on the FFXI forums now is getting rated down. Some are getting rated up again, but some aren't. I'm thinking this because in my posting history some are a bit higher then my current karma score, like I was rated down then up again.

It seems to have started here:

Several other posts (all in the main ffxi) are showing as "wierd" karma scores also, a few above my current or just simply rated down and left that way.

Well, while maybe a PM would have been better, i'm not too worried. Any damage can be undone, and if someone wanted to add on to it and do even MORE karma camping... Well, that would be pretty damn stupid, as you've now said your going to look into it. Their funeral, not mine.

Also, if you like, I can send you links to some other posts. In my history, I see quite a few posts that are just a few (see around .05 to .1) points above my normal karma score. Those are what really made me think I may have picked one up. I can understand some rate downs in that thread I linked, I did make a comment that seems like I was bashing on FFXI. However, it was mostly fairly civil. However, then some other threads where I was voicing my opinions and such, got what appeared to be rated down then rated up again... That is what caused the flag to go off for me.

Well, the threads were only in the past couple of days, not the whole month.


Edit: even this thread has been bumped up by .03 above my base (around 3.43/3.44 it is flucating atm), like someoene rated it down then back up. Seems to me like i've pissed someone off.

By all means, if you have some explination of how this could have happened in not one, but quite a few posts, please tell me.

Edit 2: I just ran some numbers... Assuming the rating history looks like this, then I think this should be looked a little bit more into...

My theory:

The first post looks like this:

Tomec: 3.43
Tomec: 3.43
KC: 1.00
Randomperson: 6.00

Added together I get a score for this post of 13.86. Now, since the karma of a post is an average... Divide by 4 and we get 3.465, which just happens to be the score of my above posts. There were other posts like this also, which as I said, was the real flag if you will.

Ya, then explain why everything I post anywhere is getting rated down? Someone is being an ***.

Edit: Ok, I guess everything probably isn't right... But the bulk of my posts over the past few days have been rated down for no apearent reason. I've kept the tone of the posts civil, haven't gotten into arguments, trolled, ect. Yet, my posts are getting rated down. Maybe i'm over reacting, but this is some idiot (or idiots) who have decided to just go rate down my posts for no good reason.
