So it's been over 72 hours since I looked at my karma and figured I had "the bug." Stuck at 3.0 after thirteen-hundred posts to work myself up to 3.23 and now I get a nice 3.0. No scholar, no rating, no nothing. What's up? Alla fix this stuff.

Hey, stop complaining. Seriously. You're not the first person to get hit with the karma reset bug. Others have too, sometimes for as long as a week. As far as fixing it, do you think Alla isn't working on it? You think he wants his site running poorly? Better yet, do you think he wants you karma whiners coming in here all the time to complain about a *known* issue? Seriously, just stop.

Simmer down, Mr. Holier than Thou. As my problem was not addressed by the "FAQ," I posted to bring my case to the mod's attention. Being a technician by trade, I know that the more information you have on a problem the better. Having more data on who and how people are affected by a bug makes finding a fix that much easier. I meant no malice and frankly you need to redress your reason for posting on this thread, it's definitely not "helping."

Regards.

There is a sticky at the top called Allakhazam.com Known Issues. It's there for things just like this. That's why people should read the stickies before posting since the stickies *may* contain information about the issue you were going to post about.

I did read the stickies, hence the "not 24hr bug" in the title. I wanted to address the fact that this wasn't "going away" for me, that is all. I did go over the top with "Fix this," but as I said previously I meant no malice.

I too have this problem. My karma has been stuck at 3.0 since 24th April, well over a week.

This is what it says (since you don't seem to have read it yourself);

Karma rating restting to 3.00

This is an unfortunate (and temporary,) issue with the karma scripting and how things are calculated. It should typically resolves itself in approximately 24 hours.

See? 24 hours. So if it doesn't resolve itself in a period of time much longer than that then it is not covered by the sticky. Now go away and find something useful to do.

You must've failed basic reading comprehension, that or you play FFXI. Note above it says, unfortunate and temporary, and *typically* resolves within 24 hours. Not always resolves, typically resolves. Seriously, I have no trouble comprehending that it may take longer.

Never said I *didn't* play FFXI, just started back up again. What I did say, was that unlike *alot* of the FFXI posters, I have reading comprehension, and I don't worry about karma. I've seen the FFXI main boards, if it was any more of a karma whine fest, it could be renamed to The FFXI Karma Whinefest Board.

I play FFXI. How about you? Maybe you should play more, surely it's more fun than making pointless posts in a tech support thread that has nothing to do with you.

And I have no trouble comprehending that *typically* it will fix itself in 24 hours, but sometimes it won't. At all. Did you notice that all the people who posted their problem in this thread have now had it fixed? Looks like it wasn't the simple and temporary 24 hour problem then doesn't it?

Get a life.

Hey! My name changed color! The karma isn't the same as it was last time, but at least I'm yellow again. @.@

My Karma has been stuck at 3.0 for more than a month now. I don't have a lot of posts so far, but have been rated up a few times, and know my average should be more than 3.0. I know you're busy Alla, and who ever else is involved in fixing the issue, so I waited quite a while before saying anything, hoping it would resolve itself. I'm sorry, it didn't...

Admin note - Fixed

Yeah my fun karma rating went from 3.95 or something to default over the course of a day, and this was definitely about a month ago. I've been checking the sticky regularly, and now it tells me to make a post in this thread....but without any further instructions. This feels like a scavenger hunt. I suppose next I'll have to start stealing license plate covers.

Still, from 'Sage' to 'noobfgt with greyed out name' does look kind of bad next to my postcount.

Ok this seems to be the only place resonably related to my problem to post for some reason my karma has droped while posting but with no rate downs on my recent posts nor my old post from what i can tell?

Hello, another case of "Karma Bug" here. It's been reset to 3.00 for a few days now, and I just realized now that it's a known issue, otherwise I'd have been more accurate in when it first happened.

Chalk up another person who cares about their Karma.

I've been stuck at 3.00 for maybe two weeks now. I'd appreciate it if I could be restored, sorry if there is a more appropriate place to ask.
