LUCY told me to go here - 3 Cleric spell info Q'sFollow

#1 Feb 22 2004 at 10:48 PM Rating: Decent
3 questions regarding cleric spell listings:

What is this Purify Soul spell listed as level 1? I see no reference to it on any other site, even Alla's - I wondered if it was a reference to an AA effect or something, but I dont see any others like that there so... ??

What are the lvl 39 circle of cooling/warmth listed there? They appear to be duplicates of the ranger/druid circle of summer/winter spells but have clerics as a class (and apparently used to have shamans but that was yanked?). Same deal as above, can find reference to them no where else including alla's. BTW, i'm definitely on the Live list, not on Test.

Finally, is it a mistake that Mark of Karn and Mark of Kings appear, at least to my eyes, to say that they have the same effect, "decrease dmg shield by 6"? the spells are nearly identical, with Kinds just having slightly better cast-time, mana cost, and duration... Is this really all that's diff, no increased benefit? (If so, /rude SOE, it was a pretty lame spell already.. I'd rather not buy/work for another that's just as lame but costs a spectral hehe..)

Thanks for your time!

Bump, if you'll all forgive me - is this not the right place to send questions about what appears to be errant info on Lucy? This is where the link from Lucy took me.. :-p

anyone?

they are not errant listings. purify soul is an aa. circle of cooling/warmth simply do not exist -- the druid/ranger is a different name. It was tested during an expansion beta and simply left in. Clerics do not get these spells. Lucy reads data straight from the everquest spell files, so if they exist in those files they will be there. http://lucy.allakhazam.com/spell.html?id=2009&source=Live is a great example of a spell that doesn't really exist anywhere but the files. As for mark of kings vs karn, I believe its a difference in the amount healed, not the amount of the DS, although I could be confusing myself.

Thanks for the explanation of how non-existant spells could end up in the listing.

I was thrown off on Purify Soul simply because no other AA effects are listed here. I wonder why - surely some deserve explanation (but i guess maybe not)

As far as the Mark of Kings/Mark of Karn question goes - they still both say the exact same effect (-6 to ds, which is essentially a 6pt heal). Its hard to believe EQ really expects us to get spectral-excited about using more mana for the same effect with the only savings being 33% cast time reduction, a little resist help (and i mean not much), and 30 seconds more duration.

i guess i'll just have to believe it.
