Choosing a Handheld (was forum=4) (was forum=28)Follow

I'm stuck between the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP.

The Nintendo DS has titles like Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow as well as compatability with GBA games like Metroid: Fusion, and the re-releases of Final Fantasy 5 and 6. The DS also has Mario Kart: DS and some other good Mario games.

The PSP doesn't really have any games I am dying to play, that I can name off the top of my head. I'm not interested in buying movies in its proprietary format, and if I want wi-fi internet I already have a Palm T|X PDA for that and my other portable media needs.

Two of my friends have DS as well, I'd be able to wi-fi some games with them and mess around with that picto chat thing too.


I suppose I'm lenient toward the DS because it has a lot of first party titles I'm interested in, as well as some Game Boy Advance compatibility so I can play some of those games I missed out on.

I still want to find a copy of Metroid II: Return of Samus for my old game boy.

The DS is cheaper, anyway.

EDIT: I Should have also originally stated that while I am leaning toward a DS, I'm looking for valid arguements toward a PSP because I am keeping an open mind. There are some franchises like Metal Gear, Grand Theft Auto and Final Fantasy that have been Playstation exclusive for a long time, and I love those games.
