I just finished watching the latest trailer for 300 and I cannot wait for March 9th to get here. Wondering what is piqueing the rest of your interests of upcoming movies? Let me know.

I'm waiting for the one where you kill yourself and post it on YouTube. Don't keep me waiting!

Interesting trailer, but I have to ask...does the dude playing the lead Spartan have the ability to speak at any other vocal level than "professional wrestler?" Because honestly, I was expecting some guy in a mask to hop in the ring with him at any moment. Not sure I could make it through a movie with that notion constantly in my head.

I'm certainly waiting on baited breath for the Suicide movie.

Why was this moved? Can't the Rocksmith takes his lumps like a man?

I didn't ask for this to be moved. In the time I have been posting/lurking in the asylum, I have had no problems taking lumps from you guys. My guess is that Eldy asked for it to be moved. Whoever moved it just wants the Asylum to be a wasteland where noone is posting today.

Either way, makes no difference to me.

I want to avoid this movie at all costs, but given that my wife is a Johnny Depp/Tim Burton fanatic, I will be forced to see it. That combo is seriously starting to burn me out, with a couple of real crappers lately. Namely The Corpse Bride.

I'm flattered! Ph33r teh almighty Elderon!

I don't think I've ever asked for a thread move. It's below me to care about such unimportant matters.

Yea, but can he sing? I am dying to know this.

Besides, too of my favorites actors are in it. So I will eventually see it.
I love Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman.

Corpse Bride was cute. Not as good as Nightmare before x-mas, but it was cute.

If you're looking forward to 300, I would be very appreciative if you'd post your after-thoughts or something of the like here. The brothers on my adoptive mom's side of the family both are the head executives for the production company, and are looking for feedback. The last few movies that came from them weren't considered huge hits and the company was worried about putting out a third movie that didn't just blow everyone away. They really poured a lot into this production and hope you enjoy it as much as they had making it.

If the movie is anything like the trailers, then my response will very likely be "That movie f'ing ruled!" I am not the most objective of critics though, since I am a definite comic book fanboy. If Frank Miller writes it, then I will read/see it. With the exception of "All Star Batman". That series is redefining suck.

I'm excited to see in July of this year the new Transformers movie. Other than that, nothing of real interest.

I hate to be negative but the only reason I planned on seeing this movie is my respect for Frank Miller. I am an obsessive fangirl of his.

However, the trailer that I saw does tend to do justice to his work. I will let you know my true feelings in March.

300, Transformers, Spider-man 3. There are a ton of movies coming I'd like to see.

Nice, comic books moives. No TMNT, Ghost Rider or Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer?

As for me, I am more into horror blood fest films, but I do enjoy comic book moives and animations as well.

I don't know if I can bring myself to think of Mr. Raising Arizona as the Spirit of Vengance, ya know?

The TMNT isn't live action persay, so I reserve judgment on it untill after it hits video. FF: Rise of Silver Surfer i've seen 1 trailer for and wasn't impressed with it (the trailer) but the Surfer looked badass.

Think of the "Face/Off" Nick Cage instead. Thends to help my mental image.

True, even if I enjoyed the TMNT comic books and cartoons, I will probably wait until DVD or it is playing at the Dollar Movie Show. I am not a big fan of Sarah Michelle Gellar.

The Silver Surfer will probably be the only reason to see it. I do not feel that the casting for the rest of the FF team was done well. The first movie was okay. But the Silver Surfer is one of my favorite characters but sadly, another Dollar Movie Show option since I was not overjoyed with the first movie.

Pan's Labyrinth looks cool.

I can't hink of Nick Cage in Face/Off because he was the "bad guy" for all of 20 minutes. Travolta ruled though.

/nod on FF

I'm boycotting all cinema until they release a live action film based on the Herculoids. I'm also waiting for the Sid and Marty Krofft trilogy by Peter Jackson ... H.R. Pufnstuf, The Bugaloos, and Sigmund and the Sea Monsters.

I have no fears about Depp's acting ability, he'll pull the acting part of the performance off brilliantly. But as for the vocal part...

First, I never imagined him as a baritone. Second, Sweeney Todd is widely held as the most challenging vocal score Sondheim ever wrote. It presents a challenge even for highly-trained classical vocalists. And Depp himself has admitted that he's not up to snuff vocally for it.

I'm willing to withhold judgement, though, because from all reports, Depp is an extreme perfectionist and is willing to do what it takes to turn in a superb performance. Whether that work-ethic can compensate for the lack of a lifetime worth of training, well...I guess we'll see.

I do think that is ANYONE can pull off making a film adaptation of this musical, it's Burton. The show is just too bizarre for anyone else to do justice to it.
