they always seem to have to have some sort of dull espisode to explain the upcoming exciting one. I really appreciate your recaps (I can only imaginme how many hours this takes since yours is VERY in depth)
Well, I'm tuning into next week and keeping my eye on this fantastic thread/show.
I really want to see the Others too....I keep picturing some odd Dr Moraeuesque stuff :/

Just sit right back and you'll hear a tale,
a tale of a fateful trip.
That started from this Australian port,
aboard Oceanic flight 815.
Jack was a mighty doctor man,
he was brave and sure.
The flight was fully booked that day,
for a eight hour flight, a Eight hour flight………
The weather started getting rough,
the plane was tossed.
If not for the courage of the fearless crew,
the 815 would be lost; the 815 would be lost.
The ship took ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle,
with Charlie, Jack too,
Hurley, and Sawyer,
Shannon, Sahid and Kate,
here on Lost.

So this is the tale of our castaways,
they're here for a long, long time.
They'll have to make the best of things,
it's an uphill climb.
Charlie and Jack,
will do their very best,
to make the others comfortable,
in the tropic island nest.
No phones, no lights, no motor cars,
not a single luxury.
Like Robinson Crusoe,
it's primitive as can be.
So join us here each week my friend,
you're sure to get a smile.
From 42 stranded Castaways,
Here on Lost.

Skipper - Jack
Gilligan - Charlie
Millonaire - Hurley
Millionares wife - Sawyer(there both greedy and opportunists)
Ginger - Shannon
The proffessor - Sahid
Mary ann - Kate

I have no idea who Locke, Sun, Jin, Michael or Walt are?
Claire could also be Mary ann...

I don't think the the two bunkers are connected. They are seperate bunkers. Remember in the video, the guy said that there were (five?) of them. Most people assumed that the bunkers were positioned all over the world, but perhaps they are all positioned on the island. Did anyone catch any logos in the new bunker? If my theory is correct, it will be the same as the first bunker, except it will have a different animal in the centre of it.

As usual, just my weekly bump. But does anyone feel that while the show is answering some questions, they're just opening up so many other cans of worms it's kind of too much? I love the show, but I'm wondering if they're losing focus and going into too many directions.

I think that the story will become more consolidated by the middle of the season. So far, the beginning of this season feels like an introduction to something that will concern everyone on the island. I'd be surprised if the whole "slaves to the button" thing lasts for more than a few episodes longer. It also seems like the Others and what they represent will become a much larger and clearer threat then they have been.

I think that's one of the reasons I'm not really as into the show as I was last season. The flashbacks just seem to dominate the episodes lately and even though they're interesting, they haven't really seemed to tie in to what we see much other than to explain why people do things. For example, Locke's entire episode seemed to build up to him being able to say the line, "It's a leap of faith, Jack." Other than that, it was just filler, unlike his last two episodes, which brought about really great character intricacies.

I still eagerly watch, but I'm pretty upset that someone dies and dies THREE FARKING WEEKS FROM NOW. GAWD.

*flexes fingers* But to be honest, I did get some of this from someone else.

On our Lostaways side of the island, Sun has discovered that she has lost her wedding ring. First Jack tries to help, by telling a story about how he lost his wedding ring, and tore apart the garbage and the plumbing looking for it. When Sun asks where he found it, he replies that he didn't, he bought a replacement...an answer that doesn't seem to sit well with Sun (AND THAT IS SUCH A GUY THING TO DO!). Then Hurley gives advice, suggesting that Vincent ate the ring while Sun was feeding him. So she sits there with Hurley waiting for the dog to take a crap. That was just hysterical when Hurley said his dog crapped $1.35. Later, when Sun is looking for her ring in her garden and gets just straight frustrated and tears it apart, Locke! lo and behold arrives. They talk and says he found what was lost by not looking anymore. Guess it's an attidue of easy come, easy go. Finally, when Kate tries to console Sun, telling her everything is all right, Sun informs her that certainly isn't the case, and reveals that message bottle had been recovered. Kate asks where it is and Sun tells her that she has buried it. Upon digging up the bottle, Kate becomes upset and frantically attempts to read all of the messages. Sun stops her and says that they are private. Kate tells Sun that she never said goodbye to Sawyer. Kate then glances at the sand and tells Sun to look down. Her wedding ring is lying in the sand. So we know that Sun does love Jin, despite his earlier controlling ways and Kate's got a thing for Sawyer. Seriously, she wouldn't have been this way if Jack just jumped her in the shower in the last episode.

Meanwhile, Jin, Michael, Sawyer and the tailaways decide (actually Ana Lucia decides and expects everyone to follow) to trek back to the other side of the island where our original Losties are. Before they leave, they gather food, with Jin distinguishing himself with his fishing abilities yet again (um hello, he IS the son of a fisherman, but what the hell was he tossing in the water?). Michael abruptly leaves Libby to look for Walt alone after she says that "they" (meaning the Others) are in a certain direction. Jin and Eko set off after Michael while the remaining survivors head for the camp. Along the way, Eko senses someone coming, and the pair hide. Hidden in the bushes, they see a procession of people go by in almost unearthly silence. The "others" are seen only from the thighs down; some are wearing pants, some only dirt, and the last is carrying a brown teddy bear on a string (notice Jin's face was ASTONISHED when he saw the teddy bear? Wonder if from his vantage point he saw the upper bodies). All are barefoot. Later, the pair find Michael and convince him to come with them. What I don't get is how the hell did the Others NOT hear Michael yelling for Walt.

The flashbacks certain around Sun. Sun is not yet married, something that her parents are not happy about. So Sun is set up on a date by a matchmaker and her parents, and finds her prospective suitor, Jae Lee, to be wealthy, educated and surprisingly charming. Meanwhile, as Jin is preparing for an important job interview at a hotel, his roommate, Tai Soo, consults a book of astrology and suggests that Jin is destined to find love soon, and adds cryptically that its color will be orange. It's apparent that Jin is a working stiff, and trying to be successful in the big city. At Jin's job interview, Jin's interviewer, Mr. Kim, insults his prospective employee, suggesting that Jin is bumpkin villager who stinks of fish, then hires him as a doorman anyway, with a stern warning that Jin is not to open the door to anyone like himself (what an a$$hole, but it's not like Donald Trump would let the doorman admit a bum into the Trump Towers either). Sun and Jae continue to hit it off, and the pair schedule a meeting at the hotel where Jin is working, though he fails to see her because he is bowing as he opens the door for her. Inside, Jae Lee suddenly reveals that he plans to marry a woman he met in America, and has only been seeing Sun to placate his parents. Sun is upset because she really thought there was a relationship, but being a lady, wishes him well and immediately leaves. At the same time, a poorly-dressed father with a young boy approach the hotel, and ask Jin for permission to enter, as the boy urgently has to go to the bathroom. Jin reluctantly lets the pair inside, but Mr. Kim observes, and starts going off. Jin quits on the spot and departs (good for him! but how did he get so twisted in his job with his father in law?). Later, wandering along a bridge, he notices a woman in an orange dress walking past (and my hubby loves Asian girls, hell he married me! and he was like WOW! THAT CHICK'S FINE!). Turning to look at her butt, Jin shakes his head , and walks away...and collides directly into Sun, his first meeting with his soon-to-be wife.

This episode didn't really drop any clues, I don't think. It just seemed like filler stuff, unless they're setting up for the episode that's supposed to happen in 3 weeks.

I did like the idea of Jin finding love through orange. Notice Sun and the matchmaker date drank orange juice, he wore an orange-ish rose (that he got from Jin) for his last meeting with Sun.

I kind of wonder whether Mr. Eko is the tailaways version of Locke. Sure seems like it.

I think people have lost interest in the show (excuse the pun) and those that are still interested in the show can find really good threads and discussions at this site
