Direct x 11 api ruined control alt and deleteFollow

I use to be able to hit control, alt and delete it would immediately open the task manager. Now it takes a good 30 seconds perhaps a little longer. Computer is a latop: Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 Laptop 14" AMD Ryzen 5, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD. Yes it's not the best in the world however it was good before they changed things. I just bought it. I am not buying something else to play Everquest .
