Very weird problem.

Since yesterday I DC alot. I can log in with ease but after say 5 minutes I get the famous 90000 error connection to server lost.

Wierd thing is. Its only since yesterday. Before I rarely DCed. To make it even weirder...drumroll....!

My PC has a wired connection. PC > Switch > Router > hello world!
My wife plays wireless on laptop (laptop > router > hello world) and so doesnt DC.

All my connections work fine and there`s nothing changed with my setup. I cant believe its the switch cause everything works well and I only have problems with FFXIV and only since yesterday I DC very fast and often.

Any ideas?

Hi, I'm not a network guru, but I've had a similar problem (btw, I only have a router).

The way I fixed it was by simply turning the router off and back on after a few seconds. Let it reboot, and run its own checks, wait for all the lights to start blinking and turning green...then test it again.

I did the above when we had a power outage...and it worked.
