She's done, up and running!
Had a few minor problems, about had a heart attack when I plugged everything in, hit the power button and.....nothing.
Here, it turns out that the two 2x2pin power plugs that are meant to plug into the mobo up by the CPU... on this particular mobo, there are latching tabs on TWO sides of the 2x2pin plug-in. Apparently, only one of them will actually power the mobo. Switched it and it booted up just fine. WHEW. lol.
And... for some lame *** reason, this HAF case advertises you can stick a 200mm fan on top.... nope. The fan will not physically fit in the case, even though there are ***** holes for the 200mm fan. Maybe if you got an exceptionally *thin* fan, maybe. But the mobo tray is in the way.
I took some pics:

Here, you can get an idea of what I mean -- the mobo tray goes all the way up to the top of the case and there's no way you're getting a 200mm fan in there.

I suck at cables, lol. not quite finished, I haven't mounted the side fan yet, and I haven't attached the USB headers yet, I want to make sure the thing works and my fingers were getting tired.

This is ultimately how I had to fix the top fan problem -- I simply mounted the fan ontop of the chassis. Since it is an exhaust fan, surely dust shouldn't collect ontop of it too badly (no more than it would if the fan were inside the case, anyways).
Seems to be working OK, I haven't tested it under load, it was idling at 35C after installing Win7 when I checked it during one of its restarts, so far so good.
EDIT: BTW, the fan in the 3rd pic really is running -- I'm surprised the camera captured the fan blades without blurring. Dang they're making cameras awesome nowadays. That fan runs at about 800 RPM and is virtually silent.
