On Elne Clare's machine I get the message "there was a problem getting the list of files for download. update may be in progress please try again in 20 to 30 min."
any ideas what to do? Already 1 restarted the comp, and even opened a new account on her machine. 2 Checked to make sure norton was not blocking it.

Thats usually a server side error. is it still happening? if so, my first reccommendation would be to check that the computer still has network connectivity (check for lose network cables, etc.) The EQ patcher sends that particular list over either port 80 or port 443, so if you can pull up the internet, the problem shouldn't be on your end. See if you can get to http://www.everquest.com/
If that doesn't do the trick, it could be the network card on the PC, or possibly a corrupted network stack. a virus is unfortunatly also a theoretical possibility there, but you would generally be seeing other symptoms.
