Do you have a CRT monitor attached to it too?
yes In all seriousness, if you can, go purchase a good LCD monitor today. CRT monitors, aside from using much more electricity, are also a major cause of eye strain and fatigue. Your brain percieves a steady solid image, but in reality that screen is constantly redrawing and causing your eyes to refocus. If I remember correctly you have mentioned vision concerns in the past. While the CRT pobably isn't the root cause, it may very well be making things worse. Also the LCD will pay for itself in about a year and a half in lower energy costs.
A good 19"-23" LCD will run you between $110 and $160 or so, 24" and larger you might need a new video card to drive them, and in this case a new PC. Dell, Samsung and LG all tend to make decent monitors. Look for the highest contrast ratio number (800-1,000 is a good starting range), the lowest redraw speed number (listed in miliseconds. 8MS is about the higest you would want to consider), and a large color depth.
