For that price on the video card, I'd be tempted to look for a 590 GTX if I were you. They are running around $650 at the moment, but two actual cards built in.
On the power supply, unless you are planning on running quad SLI, you will never use that much power supply. It's a good unit, but you don't need it with only 1, 2 or 3 of those video cards.
I don't trust OCZ anything personally, but a whole lot of people are liking the new drives, and they seem to have improved their massive pervasive failure rate.
If you like the look of that case, you may want to also take a look at the Cooler MAster CM690 ii Advanced. It's half the price, has essentially the same airflow (big fan is on the front, not the top) and the same layout, including the internal powdercoating in black and all the screws powdercoated black. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119216 Nothing wrong with the thermaltake one though. I tend to prefer the side mounted tray mount tooless drive bays rather than the slot in front ones, but thats personal preference.
Nice choice on the procesor there, that one will be speedy.
For ram, for Core I7 socket 1366, to be honest the speed of the ram doesn't matter all that much. Faster ram above 1333 Mhz will add maybe 1% performance overall in certain situations. You'll have 6 ram slots, 3 ram channels. I'd be tempted to go with this kit: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820233146 and occupy one slot in each of the three channels for 12GB total, then throw another kit in later to bump your ram to 24GB. A 12GB 6 stick kit runs about the same from Corsair, so there really isn't any reason not to if the board supports it.
As far as that motherboard goes, its a nice, very stable unit with 6GB / sec sata controller and USB 3.0. The main advantage of that particular board is 4 PCI express 16X slots, for Quad SLI.
If you are not intending to go with quad SLI, you might want to consider this board: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131641 It's essentially the same exact thing with 1 less PCI express 16X slots, $100 cheaper. Both boards have a 4X PCi express slot for your SSD card. Either one would work for the parts you have specified. The Maximus board looks nicer.
Edit: Also, get two of the Seagate 1TB data drives, and set them up in a Raid 1 mirror. Thats built into the board. That way, if one of the drives fails, all your data still exists on the other drive. Cheap insurance.

Interesting, I didn't know higher speed ram would make such a small difference, I will be able to shave off a few bucks with that (and unlock better of potential). Unfortunately, the 590s are sold out, and I prefer a single powerful card after my last dual card didn't live up to expectations.
I know I went overkill on the psu, but I wanted something that would last and be able to handle all overclocking profiles without issue. If that's still way too much, what would you suggest? If I did change it, it would open up room to upgrade other parts (3.3-3.4k budget).
Only thing about that case is that it isn't a full tower, I like having the extra room and good cable management.
With the money I save buying that ram I will be able to get that second hard drive, thank you :)

Honestly, if you are going to invest this much into a rig, I see no reason to use a last gen processor. You've basically just agreed to never upgrading... I'd really recommend looking into the now slot 1155 cpus from intel. They are wiping the floor with last gen and buying a mobo that supports them will allow you to upgrade in the future.

I totally mistook the cpu you were using for an 875--no clue why. That is the faster processor.

The CM 690 ii is a full tower case. It just looks short in that picture for some reason. The thing is the same height as a thermaltake eureka case, though not not as "deep". Your cables go down the side channel routed mainly behind the motherboard. If you really want good cable management, you might want to look at the Thermaltake speedo advance instead. Or possibly the Cooler master HAF X too. Overclocking that processor and ram on air is going to be problematic. At very least you will need a beefier air cooler. You may want to take a look at performance-pcs.com and see what they have in the way of water and air cooler setups, as their selection in that specific area is much better than neweggs. Also, you might want to consider getting the case from them too. They offer internal cable sleaving services, makes the internal layout much neater. That PSU should be fine for what you are building. Given the price i'd be tempted to swap it out for an Enermax PSU personally, since that is what I use in most of my higher end builds, but Antecs are usually pretty solid too. You're still over your needed power budget for what you are running. a 1Kw PSU would run two cards in SLI just fine with no issues. 1200 watts are needed for Triple SLI 3 card setups, but it doesn't hurt to have that extra power budget in case you do decide to upgrade later.

I indeed might have to upgrade to water cooling, but I just want to see how it runs on air, as I saw a guy got it to 4.56ghz on air no problems under load with stock cooler. Supposedly it is a really good cooler, but we shall see about that.
I definitely can't afford a dual processor build right now haha, 3.3-3.4k is all I can put into it right away.Thank again for the advice, I'll check out that psu and other cases.

Hmm one last question, think the noctua d14 can fit with those corsair sticks? I see its compatible with my MB, just not sure it will fit with three of those. I could always remove one of the heatsinks on a stick, wouldn't hurt, right?
New question...switched to rampage III black edition instead of extreme, so the MB won't fit in the antec 1200 I had my heart set on, so I need a new case with a budget of 300 for it...looking at a HAF X since the noctua d14 will fit in there along with my e-atx MB. Good choice for the case, or should I get something else? Really wish the antec would fit e-atx :/
Haf-X is a great case. A little spendy, but great airflow and features. Might also see if you can track down a Cooler master ATCS case. they are getting kind or rare, but well worth it with the slide out motherboard tray. With $300, Lian Li cases would also be potential ones to look at. You could also go with something along the lines of an Antec P193, which will fit EATX. That case is a pain in the *** to work with though.
Edit: also, the Noctua D-14 should fit just fine with the specified ram.

Thanks yet again, couldn't pass up the black edition with onboard USB 3.0 and other features, even if I had to change other things around. Can't wait till I finally order it, and then slap in a second 580 next month. Gotta hate cases that are a pain to work with, that's exactly what I want to avoid, along with investing in a bad case that will only give me headaches.
One thing I am annoyed about though, is that because I use nvidia's 3D solution, I can't get myself a pair of 6990s and have a mining rig to boot. Meh. I should have everything next week, ordered noctua yesterday and got it today, was surprised.. tomorrow I'm going to order the case, then everything else in a few days.
