I'm playing on a Dell Inspiron 1525, I know, nothing special or fancy. Lately it keeps overheating when playing WoW. I actually opened up the bottom and cleaned out the fan and heat sink, the fan sounds/feels 10x better now. I also went out and bought a cheap Microsoft cooling pad.
I play on the lowest settings possible because well this laptop isn't exactly top of the line and a few years old, so anything over low just lags terribly. Are there any programs you suggest for monitor cpu/core temps. I really don't know too much about where temps should be running at, it sounds like 50-60 C is pretty high, but frankly I don't know what I'm running at anyways.
I haven't really played much yet since I cleaned the fan/bought the cooling pad so I don't know yet if those have proved to be effective enough.
