I'm trying to help a friend troubleshoot a problem he's been having with FFXI. He has both a PS2 and a PS3, and he was trying to play FFXI on his PS2 while using his PS3 to be connected to PSN. However, every time he uses his PS3 to connect to PSN, he gets R0 in FFXI. And this continues until he disconnects his PS3.
I had him check the IP addresses of the devices connected to his network, and we verified that the PS2 and PS3 are using different IP addresses.
Has anyone else run into this problem?

Turn off UPNP inside the router and see if the issue goes away. If not, what make and model is the router and have you updated the firmware?
