As I've previously mentioned and I'm sure no one remembers, my computer crapped out on me a couple months back. It's old enough that it's not worth fixing, so it's system building time. I'd like to spend between 800 and 1,000, and am pretty much set on using an AMD 6 core 3.2 for the proceessor. Right now my main concern is getting a system up and running, with room to upgrade later. As far as use goes, it's more of a day to day system with some gaming. Normally I'd like to do my own homework on parts, but I only have my phone for internet access at home right now, which is making things take much longer than it should. Any help on this one would be greatly appreciated.

The 3.2 is 229 right now, that's a pretty signifcant boost for only 50 dollars more.
right now you can hunt for great deals. I found new corsair 650 Tx PSU for only $10 more then the 550 HX made by another OEM that doesn't have the reliability of Seasource PSU's that make the 450 HX and the 650 TX. I added a new Lite On DVD RW drive for $25 along with a Eric flint book I was able to get at 40% off retail price all from amazon yesterday. With a New 1 TB harddrive that Best Buy had on special black Friday deal on, I save well over $100 on repairing my dead PSU and upgrades, plus got a book I been looking forward to.

If you can wait for the January release that, Intels Sandy Bridge is coming out.
Future proofing wise I would advise you to wait for that since January is usually a good time for bargains as well.
