First problem:
I've been playing since more or less mid summer, but ever since 4.0.1 (I don't know if this is the cause, or just a coincidence in timing) the game has randomly been crashing for me, saying "Not enough storage space to process this command". I have no idea how it is caused, nor do I know how to fix it. The only upgrade I have done to my PC since playing was upgrade RAM from 4 gigs to 8. It seems to happen completely at random, sometimes an hour after I've started, and sometimes it doesn't happen for days on end. Here's a pic of the dialogue box that pops up:

Second problem:
This one is a little harder to describe. Sometimes while running an application (can be anything; firefox, WoW, FFXI, FFXIV, etc) the window will suddenly gray out a bit, as if I had clicked to something else and it were now running in the background. All commands will be completely unresponsive until I click on the window again, though sometimes it'll come back all on it's own. At first it was a slight annoyance, but I'm tired of putting up with it and want a way to stop it.
Here are my PC specs:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
AMD Phenom II X4 925
8.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 669MHz (9-9-9-24)
ATI Radeon HD 5600 Series
For the RAM it should be noted that 2 are DDR3 1600G and 2 are DDR3 2000G. When I ordered them they said that they were compatible and that everything would run as if it were the slowest type. I can't help but think that this could be part of the issue though, since everything started shortly after I installed them.
If anyone knows a lot about this kind of stuff and could help I'd greatly appreciate it. If any other info is needed just ask and I'll get it.
