looking at tabletsFollow

Greetings guys. I have a friend who's a wonderful artist and her current drawing tablet is old, slow, buggy and scratched.

i want to buy her one in secret.

Now iam not looking for something as cheap as say a Genius G-pen. They dont seem to last all that long or have all when it comes down to her needs.

I was thinking of getting her a Wacom Intuos4 [she'd probably need a small size one] but those are damned expensive for me, like 255$-355$

so iam looking for something around the <150$ [can push to 200 possibly] price range that is quality, durable, user-friendly [but not newb friendly, she's a skilled artist not a Ms Paint scribbler; something that say wont accidently set off a short cut like the G-pens have a habit of doing] and great at helping to create art.

What about looking for a used Intuos3? Should be able to find a used 6x8 in the low $200s or so, and it'd likely last her quite a while. Long as they aren't abused they tend to last.

Another factor with the Wacoms to consider is that they have a decent software bundle, you know, if you/she/etc are actually legit with software. Normall come with Photoshop Elements and Painter Essentials. You can get Painter 11 + an Intuos4 Medium for $399 though, which isn't bad considering that Painter 11 is about $275 all by itself.

I have a wacom bamboo FUN. (Actual name.) I love it. They're right in your price range too. I have the small one and the size works fine for me. Make sure you don't mistake it with the regular Wacom Bamboo, they're two different things.
