LSA Shell error and kmixer.sys BSODFollow
Yeah, I'm getting both. Computer has rebooted twice today so far. Did a quick search on both errors and it seems that it's either my sound card driver or I've got a virus of some kind. Running a virus scan now, and then I thought I'd uninstall and reinstall my sound card drivers. Anything else I might try? I really have to make this computer last until income tax time, haha.
I would look at getting superantispyware from superantispyware.com they have a freee edition
also look into getting antimalwarebytes you will have to google it and ccleaner.
run the first 2 mentioned programs, and see if there is any malware etc if not then run ccleaner and see if it finds any windows error or the like in all 3 areas internet explorer and windows as well as the registry.
If nothing else you could try to salvage the working programs if the errors continue and reinstall windows.

My computer died.
I tried scanning for viruses and malware, nothing came up. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling some drivers, still no luck. Then all my browsers started crashing. So I was trying to salvage a few things off my hard drive before it went belly-up and then Windows Explorer quit working. After that, I got nothing but a blue screen no matter what I did. Even a reformat wouldn't work, got a blue screen before it could reinstall Windows. So I'm using the hubby's PC now and after income tax, we'll fix mine. It has some good components in it, but the mobo and CPU are pretty old.

Change the jumpers on his hard drive to Master, and the ones on yours to Slave then hook it up to his PC (turn the PC off first). You may be able to salvage the data without booting to your hard drive.

Eh, too late. I had already started formatting. Also, I had thought of that, but if there's some insane virus or whatever, I don't think I'd be able to get into the HD at all. There at the end, there was so much wacky stuff going on, I have no idea what was wrong though.
