FFXI Has Stopped WorkingFollow

I have been playing this game for awhile but not until recently have I had problems with it. It started when I bought my laptop that has well beyond and then some what it takes to run the game. I would be playing every once in awhile and boom! FFXI is not working or has stopped responding and I get kicked. This has been going on for 4 months off and on. Well the whole month of DEC I didn't get kicked but like 2 times so I was good.

Then all the sudden SE made the new DEC patch and ever since its been really bad. Right now I'm just trying to solo because I don't want to bother any partys that need a tank who DCs every fight. I am now getting DCed like every 1-5 minutes mostly when I start a fight or start casting a bunch of spells. I run VISTA with a great laptop um... I don't know what I can say that will help you out very much.

Thank you in advance I'm going on leave for the next 10 days in the hope that it will be fixed by the time I get back. I just really doubt that however.

What are your laptop specs?

It really sounds like your having an issue with your ISP or your connection in the house. How is your computer connected and whos your ISP?

Sorry it took me so long to respond I'm with family right now. So my ISP is comcast (i think thats what your asking for right?) and my spec I actually don't have on hand right now. I am connected via wireless card and the router is right next to my computer. I tried doing the hard wire into my laptop to see how that works but for some reason my laptop won't let me connect to the internet that way.

I'll try a different connection your probably right because as soon as I got that router I have been having that problem. Any other time I connect to someone elses network I usually stay connected.
