Bum College InternetFollow

I've finally started to be hit Vana'diel withdraw, and I want to know if anyone has any fixes for crappy college internet.

We're on a wireless network outside but have to connect through ethernet cables while in dorm. But the servers here are so bad that when people start loading on, it can take 45+ minutes for a 3 minute YouTube video to load.

Does anyone have any ideas to work around this / alternate ways to get internet that'll let me play? Any help is greatly appreciated.
