Trying to install windows XP on a new comp and I keep getting stuck early on in the install.

No matter which version of windows XP I try (Pro or home) it hangs at the same step:

Windows Setup : Windows is loading files (Windows Executive) then my computer just reboots.

I have tested with different ram, no video card plugged and its currently sitting on a anti-static mat (to make sure it was not the case shorting it out) I just keep looping on that particular step.

Have you tried another hard drive?

If its not the hard drive im not sure. Sounds like a bad hard drive or possibly could be your power supply is to weak or your overloading a rail or something.

Try swapping hard drives though.

Tried with another HDD still no go, both are SATA Hard drives. The bios sees them both and it detects all RAM and CPU perfectly from what Ive seen

Doesnt sound like a heat problem....

Have you checked if your overloading a rail, or if everything is plugged in nice and tight. Loose connections can jack some stuff up. Also have you tried swapping in a different power supply?

Really starting to suspect the mobo, even with forced IDE emulation still a no go. I even tried to flash the bios and as soon as I hit enter to load a new bios the computer reboots itself.
