I Can not talk on vent while having wow to the forefront. I have heard that others had the same trouble. I have upgraded my drivers for sound and have the latest version of vent. If anyone know why I willing to lisin. make it hard in raids when i have to type answers.

Playing wow with ventFollow
I've never used Vent, but isn't there an option for hotkeys that can be used during games that you press so you can use your MIC?
Can't sleep, clown will eat me.
What is your Push to Talk key? Maybe it is something that is being used in WoW?
I use my right ctrl key. I believe it not use for anything in wow but I double check to make sure. It was the key i used on my old computer with XP.

I don't quite understand, was it being used and was that the reason you could not talk over vent?
Also, can you speak over vent with WoW minimized/closed?
I can talk on vent when I minimized WoW. I just ment I had no trouble with using Right Ctrl key on my old computer with XP. I alsoed Uninstalled vent and reinstalled it still have same problem.

Okay, so I am assuming you're using Vista. Is this correct? I heard a while ago when Vista was just coming out that people couldn't even download Ventrilo because they had Vista. Now, Vista has came a long ways, they have obviously fixed it so Ventrilo could be downloaded, but maybe there are a few bugs still.
If you in fact are using Vista, I think that is the problem. You might want to call Microsoft, or if Vista has it's own phone line, do that and see if they can change anything.

Try disabling all voice chat related options in WoW; it's possible if those are enabled they've seized the DirectSound input channel, making it impossible for vent to call for your mic.
