I'm thinking about picking up a new laptop. I was just wondering if this will be able to play WoW at 100% with all settings and Starcraft 2 when that comes out. Thanks in advance for any help.
The laptop I was thinking about is the dell xps M1530. A friend recomended it to me but I was just wondering you guy's opinion on it.

If you are looking for existing video game compatability, I'd try to downgrade to Windows XP (Professional) if it's still possible.

Vista's a lot better now, but it's still better to try something that's been fairly stable for all these years instead.

I don't know a lot about laptop hardware, but if it is possible, try to get a bigger video card (128MB might not be enough for Starcraft 2, since it is gonna be more advanced).

Those specs won't even come close to running wow with all sliders at max.

If you want to accomplish that with a laptop, expect to spend at least $1500. Probably more like $2k~2500 if you want it to be rock solid all around.

Edit- Something more like this Sager NP5793.

That's souped up to where I would have it; you can hit the link to customize it more to your liking and maybe save a little bit of cash.

To be honest, I'm not sure if that would run it full sliders either, but it would definitely come a lot closer.

I think that's kind of a harsh statement. You are giving WoW more credit than is due. A 2.2GHz processor, 128MB video card, and 3GB Ram, you'd run WoW pretty smoothly. WoW isn't top of the line when it comes to graphics load (It is fairly old, and when it came out 128MB cards were standard, with 256MB cards being an upper tier), and the only thing on that laptop that could use a boost would be the video card.

I think it'd come pretty close to problem free running of WoW, even with high settings (My brother ran his fine on a 2.26GHz processor, 128MB card, 1GB Ram). It's Starcraft 2 that I'd be worried about.

Oh, I'm sure it would run well enough, but he specifically mentions aiming for full sliders (and the game really does pop if you've got the juice to handle all that, too). I know firsthand how low system specs can go and still run WoW 'effectively'. It's just not as pretty looking as it could be.
