Without actually opening up my computer case, is there a way to find out what brand and model my motherboard is.

This may sound stupid but I am not a computer technician. I am trying to replace my video card and it is AGP 8X. Someone told me that my motherboard might also be PCI or SLI compatible. Is this BS?

Lastly, any recommendations on a good video card for AGP. I am currently running a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 with AGP8X & 128 RAM. My OS is Windows 2000 Professional. Also have 1GB of RAM.

Buy a new computer. You can overpay for an AGP card that won't perform as well as a PCI-E on that would cost half as much if you really want to, though.
