FFXI: Graphics stuttering w/ good FPS on VistaFollow

My FFXI seems to lag or 'tick' every 4 seconds when moving but the frame rate is good. It works fine with XP but I can't get it to work smoothly with Vista.

My system is Intel Core 2 Duo, Vista 32, GF7900GS and 2GB RAM. It runs other games perfectly only FFXI has this problem.

Any ideas?
