No, Mac and Windows uses different file(s) even though the program is on the same CD for both systems.

Blizzard has for as long as I can remember offered both PC/MAC versions on their products which made them huge hits in the Mac market.

So again no, not possible as the PC requires a vast amount of .dll's and reg settings in order for it to work when installed normally.

If you want to use it from a external HD you can do that but you will can to install it from your windows machine and target that drive which forces all the reg settings to point to that external drive.

Ok another question then. Could I use another windows based machine to install the game on the hd and then use the pc at work to run it off my hd?? Or does the same pc I plan on using with the hd have to be used for the installation process?? And thanks a lot.

You would have to install it from the machine you intend to play on, or you can also create all the Registry entries which the game makes to point to that external device, which is less then easy depending on how many it makes.

You can delete all the desktop icons it makes and such as the only important part is the registry like I said ^^

Hope that helps you
