My Computer Restarts when I Load a Game :: Free Realms

Hi, so my computer has been acting weird lately...I recently just got a craving to play Wc3 again so i decided to install Frozen Throne. Everything went fine and the game was installed. But once i open the game and the screen turns black, my computer restarts, and once i log on it says it had a serious error that it had to restart. Does anyone know why? I also installed Black and WHite to see if it would work, but it also restarted. My computer restarted also when I left my computer for a while and my texted screen saver came up. Hope you guys can help, thanks in advanced.

Are you using the latest drivers for your graphics card? This is most certainly an issue with an outdated/incompatible graphics driver.

Nope it does the same thing, except now the screen saver just freezes. Maybe my video card is just old. It's a Geforce 4 MX, i didn't feel like i needed to change it since Frozen Throne worked fine and WoW was fine. Do you guys think i should just get a new card?Thanks in advanced.

Sounds like hardware failure to me. When your FX card is being taxed it dies. Just an uneducated guess though Smiley: smile

Replacing it will probably be the cheapest option.

anyone have any suggestions for what kind of graphics card i should get? One that is pretty inexpensive, but is good quality?

My Computer has-

1500 MB of RAM
AMD 2800+ Athlon
2.08 GHz
