How do I fix it? ;_;

To be honest, I dont know if I can, I might have to wait on SE. Whats annoying is, I never used to have any problems, then after one of the updates I started getting terrible lag whenever I'm around a lot of PC/NPC's. Limbus is pretty bad for me >.<. Now SE has listed my Graphics card as one of the 'incompatible' ones with the Nvidia Forceware 91.47 Driver version (my card is the Geforce 7950 GT btw)

FFXI Graphics Compatibilty List

I was wondering, if anyone else has had this problem, do they know of a compatible driver which I can use to fix it? Or of any method I can use lol. I'm really frustrated as when I got this card, the game ran wonderfully, and actually made it a lot more fun to play, but now I'm just annoyed all the time. I lag in Sky, I lag in Sea, I lag pretty much everywhere I never used to. (I still lag in Al zahbi but who doesnt>.>) I lag especially badly near a lot of NPC's or PC's like I said.

Any info would be greatly appreciated ^_^

Thanks.

I am using a 7950 GT in my backup ps as well and don't see any problems with the latest drivers. worst case scenario uninstall your card and the drivers and reinstall a older set of the driver and see what happens.

I love Final Fantasy XI and Nvidia both however to be brutally honest they have the communication of a duck and a camel in which that can't understand each other. What makes this even worse is that Nvidia is a sponsored card for Final Fantasy and even have their nice little logo branded on the front page of Playonline.com

I mean look how long it took them to fix the 8800 Series issues and even then it's still not fixed 100% in some cases.

Sorry for the rant,

Try these, I have tested them on my backup computer (main computer using 8800 series in SLI) and they seems to work ok. I get a little graphic lag with BRD's but I get that at times even with my 8800 setup . . .

Newest, try that first.
93.71

Older first real good stable driver for the 7950's I think however only the GX2's
91.31

Try the latest drivers first ^^

Good luck

Try these drivers they are third party drivers for most video cards on the market. http://www.omegadrivers.net/

But I warn you, to back up/set a restore point and so on and so forth just incase of any problems. I myself have not had any problems with these drivers, but I cant speak for all.

Im not guaranteing that this will fix your problem, but hey its worth a try, no?

Good luck.

You can go the route of the 3rd party driver. But just downgrade to the last stable release that worked well for you :P

Thank for the reposnses people^^.

When I first built the PC, I was using the latest drivers from Nvidia for it, the 93.71 version, so I need to roll back from that. That was a stable driver for me at one point lol; ;. I'm going to give the 3rd party drivers a try, I've heard from someone else it's actually quite good. (I thought it sounded scary at first lol.)

Wish me luck ^_^
