So yeah. FFXI ran perfectly. Best settings, best everything, until one night I needed to reformat my computer (bluescreen on turn on computer, something about unmountable boot volume).
Did that, yada yada yada.
I then reinstalled the correct drivers and whatnot, and finally ffxi.
My computer then decided that it hates 11. It kept blue screening either:
-Less than 30 seconds into the game (most common)
-About a good hour/two hour run
Now, I know it has to do with the graphics, what it says I cannot remember because I forgot how to "Do the opposite of turning off the bluescreen". Yeah, I know, but at midnight, my vocab is shot. But whenever I send the crash data to microsoft, they say its the graphics.
Great hoogly booglies, what am I to do?
psbtw: Running on a Dell Inspiron E1505 Laptop with the Mobile Intel(R) 945GM Express Chipset Family (yes it has been updated)
edit: Things I have done so far->
-ran w/ and w/o windower
-ran on lowest settings possible graphics
-ran on highest settings possible graphics (believe me, after seeing the worst setting graphics, you go like YAY PRETTY)
-tried "hiding" the game (while using windower) under other maximised windows when zoning
-dancing naked around a fire chanting in tounge
-Unchecking "Enable code writing"
-I didnt really do the dancing naked, but it sounds like that might be my only option right now
