The analogs wont do anything and i would like to get it set up just like ps2 controls for controller there. If anyone could help you would be greatly appreciated cuz im sorry playing from just the keyboard if beyond annoying. THanks for your help in advance .

Ps before anyone calls me a noob lol i have installed all drivers and read manual as to game specific controls per the book on PC version controls and tried setting them to controller but i still cannot get it to work correctly in gameplay.

Did you make sure to launch the FFXI Config and click the box which states "Use Gamepad"?

If you didn't do this then the Pad will not work no matter how you configure it.

I play on PC. . . so I am not sure why you assumed otherwise.

My wife has the exact same recoil brand controller which you speak of and all you have to do after loading the drivers is click the box to state you want to use the controller in Final Fantasy XI Config.

Are you sure your controller is in working order? I know the recoil brand is very cheap and my Wife went thru 4 of them very fast (Going to buy her a logitech if I have it my way). A way to confirm the Analog is functional is;

Goto Start -> Control Panel -> Game Controllers

Add you controller if not done so already and you should be able to test your button configuration. If you are not able to get analog to respond in the game controller setup then you have a defective controller providing you are using the correct axises/button count.
