Vana'diel collection won't installFollow

#1 Feb 07 2007 at 11:11 PM Rating: Decent
I bought the Vana'diel collection 2007 strictly for the expansions--i have regular FFXI already--but my PC can't read the disk.

It's so frustrating: I put the Vana'diel collection CD in and nothing happens! Here's what i've tried:

1. Went into Windows explorer, went to my CD drive, but no files were there.

2. Start -> Run -> D:. It asked me to put in a disk, so it didn't even know a CD was in there.

3. Bought ANOTHER copy of Vana'diel collection 2007, but experienced the same problem.

What can i do?

Last I knew the Vana'diel collection was on a DVD which would explain why your CD-ROM can't read it.

Could you please confirm that the disc you have is either CD or DVD and also confirm your drive you have installed.

yeah, chances are you have a CD drive. The good news is that DVD drives are cheap and easy to install! No drivers involved, just power down the computer, unplug it from the wall power, open the case, slide the old drive out, and put the new one back in with the same ribbon cable and power cable plugged back in.
