I want to mess with it, can I install it on my Flash Drive. I have a Scan Disk 1gig drive, and can you provide a link for a free linux download.

Search google,

there are multiple sites which have distro's of linux which will boot and run from a solid state memory and other media.

Things to search for are
-Damn small linux
-Knoppix

If you still want a direct link PM me as I am not sure how they handle links to free software even if it is covered under the GNU. If a Alla admin could answer that it would be wonderful because I would hate to post information just to have it torn down.

its ok to do that xXBijiontXx.

as for booted from a USB drive, the issue is your BIOS. unless your BIOS supports 3rd party hardware for booting, you can not do that.

what you can always do is one of the liveCDs like Knoppix listed above. as long as you can boot from CDRom, you are golden.
