I bought a wired xbox 360 controller to play Final Fantasy XI on my PC. I started up the game and I couldn't use half the buttons. I was able to configure most of the buttons similar to the setting used on the xbox 360 version of final fantasy xi, except for the D-pad (targeting, navigating menus), the shoulder buttons (autorun, take screenshot). Nor could I use the right analog stick to move the camera around or change views by pressing it in. Is anyone else having the same problem as me? Any suggestions?
So far I've downloaded the update software for the controller, and it hasn't made a difference. Only now the controller status lights up when its plugged in.
I used to use a USB playstation 2 converter for the pc and it worked great, but the units never last long since they are so cheap. I went through my 3rd one already.
