Spyware/Malware can mess up your internet connection giving you crashes and disconnects. Best thing would be to get rid of your problem.

Erm. Forgot that it was removed when Angsty left the site. Go grab you a couple of Spyware.Adware/Malware removers, update and run them. I recommend Ad-Aware, and Spybot S&D.

As most Malware resides in your Use Profile folder in Documents and Setting, you could always try saving your Stuff out of that and deleting it, then wehn you log on again, it will be recreated brand new.

You would still want to delete the contents of your Temp folder though in you System directory.

Main problem is that there are probably a few registry entries that are telling your computer to reinstall the Malware. Your main goal should be to find these, but that's also the most risky.

Best think to do is check out your Running Processes wtih tak manager and Google anything that looks suspiscious.
It will usually be a random set of letters followed by .exe.

Use START > RUN > MSCONFIG to try to stop anything from starting up as well... just go to the Startup Tab.

ALSO, if you do succeed in removing anything... IF you have any virus in your SYSTEM32 folder... XP's System restore will restore the virus to, you you have to disable System Restore before you get rid of anthing.

You can google some common Registry Keys that are effected by Malware usually....

off top of my head is LOCAL MACHINE > SOFTwARE > MICROSOFT > WINDOWS > CURRENT VERSION > RUN
