I have three computers hooked up through a D-Link DI-624 router to connect to the internet. Now all three computers play FFXI Online. Just recently we've been having problems where out of nowhere, we get a Recieving of 0, which eventually boots us out of FFXI. When we try to log in right afterwards, were okay for a few moments until we get the red dot of death (Connection Loss) and lose connection from the game despite being able to talk to others during this period. After we log back in the third time, game play is normal until we get the problem again later on (time varies).
It seems to only happen during FFXI play (Not all three computers have to be on FFXI to get the problem, the non-playing ones lose connection to the net for a short time also. Though it always happens when one or more computers are connected to FFXI.
I asked SE about this, and they asked to open ports through my Router to see if that does anything. Problem is, to my limited (Read: Barely any) knowledge on Routers, you can only open one port to one computer. So since I have three, I'm unsure how I should proceed opening ports.
I'm hoping this is just an open port question, but that seems unlikely to me as this problem has just been happening recently. I'd imagine it could be a broken router also, but I have no clue how I could find out about that.
Any and all help will be grateful.
Thank you in advance,
