When I hit CTRL+ALT+DEL all I get is a box displaying my running processes...I don't get any of the normal menu buttons at the top, and have to close the taskmgr process to make the window close..

Thanks in advance =/

Just a lot of 'file not found' things, which go away

Don't remember

Nothing, as far as I know.

Yes

No. My system f00ks up whenever I try to run SP2

IO had the same problem with it...I think you have to right-click the background of the taskmanager window...or something like that...cant remember it was a long time ago and its 3:00am

So, you've installed SP2 since it happened (or tried to)?
No.

Just double click the space above the task/process list. It works both ways.

Good workaround and rated thus, but not an effective solution. I don't have time right now, but have you looked in Microsoft's knowledge base about it? Surprisingly, I find answers there. I say not a good solution because, if I read it correctly, SP2 will not install. This means any updates which depend on SP2 (a lot of them,) won't work. This means you have a wonderfully insecure box inviting viruses and such. I know it sucks to format and stuff, but I would look into finding a way to get SP2 up and running. Let me know if you can/can't find anything, and I will do my best to help. Best to PM me or somethin' as I don't always get to drop in here.

Off to bed!
Eh, I don't get harmful viruses since I don't really go anywhere on the interweb

Angsty it's just a way to change the interface of your task manager, nothing more, nothing less. I gather that it could be locked into the interfaceless mode by security policies under active directory.
