N00b question about FFXI installation descriptionFollow

Thanks in advance for helping someone whose computer knowledge is iffy.

So, my hard drive is full enough that I want to clear some space before TAU releases later this week. In the "Change or Remove Programs" section on my Windows computer, I see FFXI installed and listed in the following way, which looks a little odd to me:

FFXI 5.25 GB
FFXI Benchmark
FFXI: CoP 6.35 GB
FFXI: RoZ

The benchmark and RoZ have no sizes listed, which makes sense because I assume they fall under FFXI. However, FFXI and FFXI:CoP both list what looks like the full program size.

My question: Have I somehow managed to install FFXI twice on my computer (presumably the second time when I got CoP or did a re-install sometime afterwards), or is this simply how the programs represent themselves on this screen, with CoP bigger than FFXI because it includes FFXI?

Basically, I want to know if removing the "FFXI" 5.25GB file will save me 5.25GB or simply erase 4/5 of Final Fantasy and wreck the game installation.

As a secondary question, I cannot uninstall the benchmark from this screen (it starts loading install wizard but never opens it). Is there another way to remove the bench?

I would say that's how they're represented in the registry. FFXI typically came with RoZ, so it's included in the initial install. CoP was an expansion, and as such would be listed seperately. Deleting the FFXI 5.25GB WILL wipe FFXI from your HD. Bad idea. I don't know what to tell you about the benchmark program. Have you tried uninstalling manually?
