At the final steps of building my PC, can start up, get into menu etc. Problem is that the computer doesn't seem to want to boot from my cd/dvd drive. I have my HDD plugged into IDE1 and the disc drive into IDE2, it recognizes that there is a disc in there, but won't load.

I hope this isn't a hardware issue, but any help would be appretiated.

Using a Biostar N4SLI-A9 MB and a Pioneer dvd/cd combo drive. Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm not totally familiar with the model of board that you've got and the manual is 62MB, so i'm not downloading it. =) It sounds to me that your system is not set to boot from CD before it trys to boot from your hard drive.

If you go into the BIOS by pressig Delete when your system is first starting up there will be an option to set the boot order of the machine in probably the second or third section of the BIOS (named advanced or something similar). All you have to do is change the boot order in there to prioritise your CD/DVD drive and your machineshould load off CD.
