WoW's Sound System (?)Follow

Does World of Warcraft in any shape way or form support 5.1 Surround Sound? Now, this is rather self explanatory since I did look around a little and didn't see any particular place to activate it. Am I not running some outside utility to change the game to those settings (You know, some games come with an external utility to set game resolution, sound setting etc)?

I am asking if there's something I'm missing, because I have a 5.1 system and would like to make full use of it like FFXI so wonderfully did for a long time.
