This is a problem I am working on today. Maybe one of you have run accost it.
Scenario: This is a network printer. The drivers for this printer are in stalled on a printserver. Printer is an Hp LaserJet 4200, driver is Hp LaserJet 4200 PCL 5e.
The client computer is running Windows XP Pro SP2.
Error is “Function address 0x77c47ea2 caused a protection fault. (exception code 0x0000005) Some or all property pages(s) ma not be displayed.
To generate this error: The client is in winword.exe; clicks File from the menu bare, and then Print… Once in the printing options the client will try to configure the printer to what she wants; at that point the error pops.

Make sure you don't have ny spare printer drivers on the machine also.

I never did find a fix, but I do have a work around.
Install the printer localy though a TCP/IP port using the IP address, and just cut out the server...

Yeah, in my school we also had plenty of HP laser printarus and when the office in which I was working in switched to XP computarus, the networking got messed up. So instead of spending countless hours trying to figure out the problem and put it on the network, since noone actually printed from the network we just hooked it to one computer via TCP/IP and it was fine.
Just remove all the drivers and put them back and reconfigure. If it doesn't work and no one is really using the printer networkwise, then put it on TCP/IP. I don't know the business world much but I don't see why one would want to print something 20 floors up and 15 rooms down various aisles.
