FFXI Question - EU/NA VersionsFollow

Before the EU version came out I bought an import from NA. It only had Rise of Zilart, as CoP wasn't released.

But now, the EU version is out with CoP included. And I can't import CoP because nobody will bother to import it to EU because we've already got the game.

So I'm thinking, if I buy the EU version, can I just use the CoP disc included with it and will it work with my NA FFXI?

Or will I have to reinstall the whole EU one?

Well, if I uninstall my NA version and install my EU version, can I somehow keep my user/characters?

Don't buy that EU version... you'll be able to install the EU fileset to your system, but your account needs to be flagged "COP enabled" by entering a key. And EU keys don't mix with NA keys.
So you'll end up with a COP installation and you won't be able to access any area of COP. I guess your best bet is to import from ebgames or gamestop (I had good experiences with this one)
