FFXI PC and Logitech Rumblepad 2Follow

I just bought this new Logitech controller last night because my old controller is not working 100% anymore.

I installed it and it works just fine when I use the FFXI config tool but when I startup FFXI then the controller does nothing, well the controller works because it vibrates when i press the vibrate button ingame but the game is not receiving any commands from it even though it works perfectly in the config tool where you can test it.

Is anyone familiar with this gamepad ? Is there something special I have to do besides registering FFXI in the Profiler software that came with it ?
