Messed up graphics [pic included]Follow

hrm it seems that after playing FFXI for awhile my graphics go wierd on me and its like certain textures become missing. i have a gf4mx420 and i ve already tried drivercleaner and installing the lastest drivers.

your graphics card probably just doesn't have neough horsepower to handle ffxi. the mx420 is about the worst possible card you could have in your machine and still get FFXi to load.

you may want to consider an upgrade. You could get a major upgrade with a geforce FX 5700 for around $150, or you could get a FX 5200 ultra for around $100

i am having the same problem, but a bit worse i have whole areas for about 50 ft blanked out into a single color. usualy grey white or black. I have a MSI FX5200. The game has been working fine for the last 5-6 months and has started this bug this week.dont know what to do. Help would be appreciated.

I'm sorry to revive a dead thread, but I've come across this same problem with my FFXI. Only difference is that I have a Radeon 9100.

So far I've tried: Reinstalling FFXI, several different drivers (4.8, 4.7, 4.3, 3.10, latest Omega... blah), and for somereason my Mobo didn't have it's AGP Drivers installed, so did that, still no help. I'm really stumped... as a last resort I'm thinking of doing a complete wipe and starting over with a clean Win XP, but I'd rather not lose all my data just to find out the problem still persists ><;

See if your video card is sharing an IRQ qith the soundblaster Audigy card under device manager. if it is, move it.
