EQ - Problems with Kernel32.dll - Cant start EQFollow

#1 May 20 2004 at 4:38 PM Rating: Decent
Hi! I'm having trouble getting into Everquest after the patcher has finished checking for files and the play option appears. Once I hit "play" I get this error message..

The procedure entry point MakeCriticalSectionGlobal could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll

I've installed directx9.0b and I have no idea how to troubleshoot this.

I have 128 of RAM and
Processor x86 Family 6 Model 8 Stepping 10 GenuineIntel ~996 Mhz
I'm running Windows XP.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have the "EXACT" same problem...

I have 256 MB RAM

Could RAM be my problem as well?

If not, how can I fix this?

I believe 256 is the minimum required to play. Upgrading to 512 or more of course won't hurt you.
